Nysted Boat Club, established on 24 November 1971 at the Nysted Hotel. Some of those present were: Willy Jørgensen, Svend Jensen, Johannes Jensen, Martin Hansen, Johannes Gundorff, Edmund Andersen, Kaj Jørgensen, Henrik Hansen, Henning Christensen, Ib Schelde, NP Landt.

Nysted Bådelaug was established on the initiative of Willy Jørgensen, with the aim of making the harbor conditions in Nysted as good as possible.
