Thanks to our local sports clubs, businesses and associations, Nysted is an active city with various cultural events and social initiatives. As you move through the town's charming streets, the local shops, the harbour, restaurants and cafés add to the lively atmosphere.

We are proud of our vibrant city that embraces a wide range of activities and events for all ages and interests. Nysted is i.a. known for its annual Hajkutter Festival and Regatta and the annual Medieval Market which draws many visitors to the town. During the year there are a number of different cultural events with concerts, live music, active workshops, exhibitions, displays and much more.
