Projects

In the Nysted Business and Tourist Association, we work with concrete and citizen-friendly projects that benefit Nysted as a city and excursion destination and which contribute to the positive development of the city. Among other things. we are part of the Nysted City and Harbor Development project, which works with future-proofing the harbor to avoid future floods and water damage as a result of high water caused by storm surges and violent weather.

Nysted Urban and harbor development is supported by Guldborgsund Municipality with the HIGH WATER PROTECTION project.

Flagalls and bathing bridges are set up by a group of volunteer citizens associated with the Nysted Business and Tourist Association.

Nysted Business and Tourist Association and Nysted-Vantore churches collaborate annually on Fastelavn.

In addition, we contribute in collaboration with other associations and working groups, e.g. with the planning of Christmas processions and Christmas tree lighting, community dining events, tourism services and similar activities for the benefit of the city as a whole.

Did you know that every summer you can go on a seal safari from Nysted Harbour, where you sail out to Rødsand and see the seals swimming around on the surface and lounging on the rock piles?
