The small village of Kettinge is within both cycling and walking distance from Nysted. In the summer, the whole family can use it Chains open-air bath in pools heated to 25 degrees.
Kettinge gravel pit has been transformed into a cozy park - and nature area, here you can go for a walk, enjoy the small oases and watch ducks, swans and other birdlife. It is an obvious place to bring the picnic basket.
In Kettinge you will also find Kettinge Mølle – a Dutch windmill from 1891. The mill is open to visitors.

Did you know that every year Nysted holds the Shark Cutter Regatta, where the beautiful shark cutters, which can be recognized by their characteristic steep bow, a low freeboard, slim lines and a long rounded projecting stern, come from home - and abroad and dock in Nysted Harbor to the regatta on the 1st weekend in August? The entire harbor exudes life and a maritime atmosphere with music, food and sailing trips and entertainment for the children.
