Mike Andersen has lived in Danish music life for a long time with an album debut in 2002, and in the intervening more than 20 years it has resulted in more than 10 releases. His music is blue – quite literally with the blues as a starting point. But Mike Andersen is much more than a traditional blues craftsman with a strong voice and a sure grip on the guitar. His work as a singer and songwriter helps to brush the dust off a genre which has otherwise had the pleasure of stranding itself in the past, as he sings on the plug 'Slamming the Door': »Give me a heads up before I' m the old man'. Here there is a lot of blood mixing with country, soul, Americana and other genres, and box thinking and clichés have been sent to the big waste.

When Mike Andersen is not performing with his band, he plays solo concerts - simple and raw, and that is exactly what we will hear in Nysted Biograf-Teater.
