Skomagergaarden
Skomagergaarden and Skomagergaarden's cultural center are a vibrant place that offers a wide range of offers to anyone looking for communities to cultivate their artistic interests – or to visitors who want a good cup of coffee and an experience of Nysted's creative environment.
Skomagergården is named after Skomager Jensen, who built the house in 1859. The house is centrally located in the main street in Nysted town and has been inhabited by a local potter for the past 20 years. The idea has been to utilize and rethink the history of the house to create a framework for communities and create a meeting point for both professional and amateur artists, locals, visitors and tourists in the city.
Skomagergaardens offers physical premises of high quality that can be used both for practicing handicrafts and for events that promote community with art, culture and aesthetics as a focal point.
