Bird and garden day
Go on a micro-adventure into my beautiful and fantastic garden - and get smarter and inspired. A micro-adventure because a rich garden teems with joyful surprises, heartfelt reunions and inspiring surprises. Every spring, the longing for light and warmth returns in us, and the little buzzing insects fly flapping here and there and tell us, of course, that summer is on its way. And I myself welcome everyone young and old and think every day that everyone will soon either wake up or arrive. At the time of writing, I listen every day for the cuckoo's cuckoo and the swallow's aerial acrobatics, they are the last birds yet to arrive. Aahh yes, every day is a micro-adventure filled with joy, reunion and surprises.
We think the day will go like this.

at 16.00 thank you very much for today.
I have invited a dear friend, who is a bird expert and has also set up my first owl nest box, to this wonderful garden and bird day. Jesper is a long-time and passionate bird connoisseur and here he wants to share his enormous knowledge about our native birds. I have lived on Øllebøllevej for 3 years. Luckily I came to a garden which consisted mostly of lawn, beautiful old trees and a blackberry jungle. And I immediately set about making a vegetable garden and planting a lot of nature-friendly flowers, bushes and trees. In addition to my own 2400 m2 garden, I have also rented 600 m2 of agricultural land, which is an oasis filled with wild plants, hawthorn and holly and various fruit trees and bushes. All to the delight of nature and us. Last year I established a small lake for amphibians, birds and insects. So this winter I had these birds on the feeding board: blue tit, marsh tit, buzzard, chaffinch, dompap, starling, pigeon, pheasant, crow, woodpecker, green irish, blackbird, chaffinch, wood sparrow, woodpecker, stilt and robin. We both believe that a fun way to learn to take care of our beautiful and vital nature is through experience-based knowledge.
You can read all about spiders, but they can still be scary when you meet them in your garden, but if you start following them, you will see that they are just living their lives, just like you. And is quite harmless, at least to you. Of course, my 6 landrace goats also live in the garden and they are welcome to be petted and cuddled. So come and be inspired, ask questions or just enjoy.
There will be a sale of both nest boxes for small and large birds and of course coffee/tea/juice and cake for you, which you can enjoy somewhere in my beautiful garden.
And you can make agreements with Jesper about setting up an owl nest box in your garden.
